Biography
Elijah Turrell is a Liturgical Artist from Seattle, WA. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma and an M.A. in Traditional Arts from the University of Wales Trinity St. David. After growing up in Oklahoma, he joined the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman which took him all over the world. He then worked in Healthcare Administration for a few years before deciding to pursue a career as a full-time artist. He began his artistic studies in 2017 under the Master Iconographer Dr. Irina Bradley. In 2025 he joined iconographers from all over the world to display their work in Westminster Abbey. He is currently on the ArtsWA Public Arts Roster. In addition to his arts practice, he has taught courses for Scholé Academy/St. Raphael School, the Grunewald Guild, and the School of Traditional Arts. His work is in churches and private collections in the US, UK, and Spain..
